Ranch Dressing

Texas Roadhouse Ranch Dressing
Copycat Recipe

3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
1 dash dried minced garlic

Mix well and refrigerate

  1. What no sour cream? This can't be right.

    1. No, this is correct. Notice it says "dressing" and not "dip?" It's supposed to stay at that sort of thick-nut-runny consistency, like any other dressing would.

  2. I used greek yogurt with a bit of milk to thin it instead of buttermilk (none in the house), and it turned out wonderful. thanks!!

  3. Did I do something wrong? It is WAY thick, like dip.

    1. I have even doubled the buttermilk. I know that this is a thicker dressing, it is one of the things that I love about it, but I have never had it this thick before. Please help :-)

    2. I wish I had an answer! Mine was too runny.

  4. Followed directions exactly. This recipe is all wrong ! The cayenne pepper discolors it and makes it way too hot ! My search continues !
